Dogs with unique looks are often victims of abuse. People would look at these dogs as weird and scary; thus, they do everything to make the dog feel wrong about its features. As a result, the dog’s confidence is shattered, and he becomes afraid of people, thinking that these people would make fun of its demeanor.
On the other hand, there are kind and wonderful people out there who are ready to embrace the dog’s uniqueness. They are proud to be fur parents to these beautiful dogs.
One dog who has multiple scars on her face got adopted by a loving family in California.
Christine Doblar’s family is still grieving the death of their beloved pet Chihuahua, Luna. The family has developed a love for Chihuahuas; that is why they wanted to look and adopt the same breed as a new pet family member. They have also decided to adopt instead of buying a new pet. They hope that they would find a Chihuahua in shelters.
Christine and her family were able to chance upon a Chihuahua mix for adoption at the Humane Society of Silicon Valley (HHSV). Lisa, the dog, was a victim of abuse; she was left with permanent scars all over her face. Apart from the wounds, she has inflamed cherry eyelids, which need corrective surgery.
Christine and her daughters fell in love with Lisa the first time they saw her! For the Doblars, she is a beautiful dog with a bubbly personality. Lisa loves to be in the company of humans, greeting everybody she meets.
Later on, the Doblars renamed her Lucky.
We’re happy to hear that Lucky is living the best life with the Doblars! The family loves her, and Christine’s daughters would even take Lucky on their outdoor adventures! She is truly one fortunate dog!
