If you have seen Stanford, you would probably never believe that he was once a broken and forgotten dog. This is because he’s a dog who always has a smile on his face; he just can’t stop smiling!
When they say that there’s a rainbow after a rain, this rings true to Stanford’s life. The pooch may seem like he has a near-perfect life now, but the dog actually had a rough start. Poor Stanford even got to a point in his life where he was on the brink of giving up.
One spring, Dallas Dog – Rescue.Rehab.Reform asked for donations on Facebook for a broken and forgotten dog. The post narrated that Stanford was hit by a car and because it was around the time Coronavirus was spreading, the shelters began to overflow. And Stanford was forgotten.
It took Dallas DogRRR a week before they were able to rescue the poor dog. During this time, the injured canine was not treated and fed. Can you imagine the agonizing pain the poor dog had to suffer?
He was so agonizingly broken and hopeless that when the volunteer approached him, he remained still. The dog seemed to have numbed from the pain that he was indifferent and apathetic all together. He was utterly devoid of emotions and looked like he had given up on life.
Thankfully, the future was not as bleak as Stanford thought. He was saved on time and fostered by a kind woman. And when he experienced this touch of hope from these two people, his world seemed to have brightened up altogether that he couldn’t stop smiling anymore.
It’s incredible how a little touch of care, love, and hope can turn someone’s world upside down – this includes dogs, of course!
Thank you, Dallas Dog – Rescue.Rehab.Reform for making us aware of the shelter situations and for saving Stanford via Facebook!
