Upon finding a missing dog miles away, we wonder how they ended up there and what they were doing during their lost time.
In Florida, Becca Williams lost her beloved dog named Cass, a black German Shepherd. It was unlike of the pup to run off; thus, Becca knew something was not right. For nearly a month, she searched for Cass for hours each day. But when they finally found the pup, Cass was in the last place her fur mom suspected.
Cass escaped when Becca accidentally left the door open. The dog was obedient ever since her mom adopted her, so understandably, she panicked when the pup didn’t return. The worried mom spent hours searching for her dog. She also contacted animal shelters, put up posters, and created a Facebook page.
However, it turned right out that there were other lost black German Shepherds in Florida. Thus, some people reported sightings; however, none of those dogs were Cass. Then, after 26 days that Cass disappeared, Becca received a call from a person in Indiana. They believed that their family member had the missing pup. They found her as a “stray” when they visited Florida and brought her home.
Becca was pleased to hear about the news; however, she encountered some complications. At first, the woman who had her pup refused to give her up, but she eventually gave in. Then, she agreed to meet Becca in Nashville. However, the family had a medical emergency, so Becca had to drive 16 hours to Indiana.
In Indiana, Becca and her pup had the most heartwarming reunion. Cass ran toward her, squealing, and showered her with wet kisses. That day, both couldn’t contain their emotions. Finally, she and her dog can feel at peace after what was probably the most frustrating month of their lives.
