Bruno is happy and loved now that he is with his forever family. However, you would never guess this happy dog was once not welcomed in a place that he had called his home.
A few days ago, Lujan Videla from Argentina and her boyfriend were walking near their home when they came across a dog that they had never seen before. His name was Bruno, and he was standing all alone at the corner of the street. Lujan said that Bruno was disoriented. So, she told her boyfriend to stay and wait with the pup and to see if his owner would get him. However, no one came.
Minutes later, Bruno started to walk and lead the couple to an apartment building’s door. That was when they noticed that Bruno wanted to enter the building. However, posted on the door was a sign saying that the dog should be kept out.
After talking to one of the residents, the couple learned that Bruno lived in the building with an older man. Sadly, it seemed that Bruno’s owner had either passed away or was forced to move out suddenly. Bruno ended up homeless, which was something he did not understand.
Some residents pitied him and started feeding him outside the building. However, Bruno was so determined to get in that the management decided to make a sign for people not to let him in. Bruno’s experience made Lujan realize how indifferent people can be. She saw how sad and desperate Bruno was to enter that place he once called home.
So, Lujan and her boyfriend stepped in. The couple took Bruno home and helped him find his former owner or his family. However, their efforts were in vain. Thankfully, things eventually got better.
Bruno started to heal with the help of his rescuers’ love and care. Lujan and her boyfriend saw how Bruno’s face changed. Because the couple already has several rescue dogs at home, they could not keep Bruno.
The next best thing was to find Bruno a forever home. One of Lujan’s trustworthy neighbors adopted Bruno. So, now, Bruno still gets to see and go on walks with Lujan and her dogs. Bruno has turned into a happy pup.
It still bothers Lujan that the building’s management did not do more to help the poor dog. However, she hopes that Bruno’s story will inspire more people to be compassionate with pups like him. As Lujan said, “They are living beings that have feelings too.”
