Homemade Peanut Butter & Banana Dog Ice Cream
Do dogs like ice cream?
My Lhasa Apso loves vanilla ice cream! Ice cream is not a dog-friendly food: however, the best flavor to serve a dog would be vanilla.
Caution: Before making and serving this delectable delight, be sure your dog is not lactose intolerant.
Note: Unlike humans, dogs do not crave or desire sugar in their diet. So desserts are typically not a part of a canine’s daily meal.
This ice cream recipe was designed with dogs in mind.
2 Tablespoons peanut butter
1 Average size banana (ripe)
2 Tablespoons plain yogurt (ideally non-fat)
1 Chop the ripe banana into fine pieces and place in the freezer for 4 hours
2. After the 4 hours have passed, remove the frozen banana
3. Place the yogurt, peanut butter, and the banana into a food processor then blitz the combination until it is a smooth consistency.
4. Now, serve the mixture plain or topped off with a doggie cookie or another favorite treat of your dog.
