When you think of biker gangs, you’d typically think of big bearded men with tattoos. Probably, you’d also have a preconceived notion that they’re up to no good. So no one, not a single person, would even associate them with rescuing needy animals, especially dogs. Still, one group dared to break the stereotype and prove something to society.
This group of guys is called Rescue Ink, a biker gang that became popular between 2008 and 2014. Today, the group has transformed itself into heroes for neglected and abused animals.
Rescue Ink is composed of bikers, former military personnel, police detectives, power-lifting champions, and yes, even lawyers. And they use the power of law to combat animal-related crimes. The group cooperates with the authorities to properly execute its mission within the boundaries of the law. In fact, even rescue groups and veterinarians have cooperated with them.
One of the victories that Rescue Ink has achieved was foiling (and breaking) dogfighting circuits and puppy mills connected with drug operations, which has saved many dogs’ lives. On top of these things, they were also able to foil an attempt to kill a cat colony, pin down a serial killer of cats, save a boa constrictor, and nurse a weak kitten.
Rescue Ink has also encountered numerous legal battles, setbacks, and painful moments. Still, one thing it assures everybody is that it remains strong no matter what.
The group became a household name when it came to rescuing animals. They are already responding to more than a thousand emails and 250 phone calls every day. But the tough guys aren’t complaining and are actually flattered that a lot of people trust them in saving abused animals, and the group hopes that they can save more animals in the future.
